What is Cru?
Cru is a family of movements helping people find and follow Jesus.
Cru is a family of movements helping people find and follow Jesus.
Bill Bright founded Cru at UCLA in 1951 with a simple vision: "Reach the campus today, reach the world tomorrow." What began at UCLA soon became an international movement inviting people everywhere to "Come help change the world."
Our UC Davis chapter began in 1997 and soon grew to a family of multiple movements serving and empowering students in numerous communities on campus. Hundreds of Cru alumni from UC Davis have gone on to make an impact in their professional fields, in pastoral ministry, and in global missions around the world. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, transitions left Cru at UC Davis in decline, and eventually, in dormancy.
In 2024, a small team of students banded together to re-start Cru at UC Davis. We invite you to come join the adventure of following Jesus with us as we trust God to continue the story of God's work.
